RECAP: Smokin' Buta Hip Hop Monthly 4-6-2018 Rochester, NY

Mark another successful night in the books for our ButaPub hip-hop monthly, there were several new faces on the stage and they all showed out.

The night began simple enough with Volatile and I going beat for beat to warm up the crowd, Volatile was even nice enough to record it!  You can check the video out below, and if you're interested in beats from either of us, do not hesitate to ask.

Toney Boi came through with some ill Buffalo performers: Short Moscato and the Ooze Gang setting the performances off properly.

The Lafayette Cafe's own Cello Brown celebrated the 1 year anniversary of his weekly hip-hop show on Wayo FM 104.3.  Cello does a great job of giving local artists shine through his broadcasts but on this night he was the one shining.

Contac, who was celebrating the release of his new album 'Todash' performed with his Brawlic Brother Gweedo, they tore down the stage with Gweedo's patented energy and Con's clever wordplay.  There was even a sighting of The Fly Bum himself, Tommy Siggz on one of Con's tracks.

Finally, Hexx Nation's Crotona P had me stuck front row checking the bars throughout his performance.  He brings that undeniable truth to the table, and with assistance from several associates proceeded to cap off the night proper.

Vision of FUA rocked out an amazingly ill piece that your boy Mello was lucky enough to win in our monthly graffiti raffle.

It was fun as always, and I hope to catch you next month May 4th.  We have producers from Boston, an ill emcee from Buffalo, Volatile's album release and so much more.
